We know that tiny, daily, incremental practice leads to real change. But it’s so tempting to think that doing just one big thing one time will embed a new skill into our brains.
When I run a presentation skills or media training workshop, I always remind people that what I’m really doing is inviting them to practice a new skill until it becomes a habit.
Three hours of an intense workshop may give you some great insights, but it will not make you a great communicator. You make yourself a great communicator when you commit to putting what you learned in your workshop (from your fabulous, compelling coach, heh heh) into practice every day.
Practice! Inch closer and closer to perfection every day!
