I ask every client two questions: What do you uniquely see? What are you uniquely doing about it? I get some amazing answers!
And yet, while a fundamental insight is essential, it is not sufficient.
If you want your idea to have impact, you need to get people doing the next right thing. You need adoption.
Adoption requires idea/conversation fit, the evangelist’s version of product/market fit.
The market doesn’t embrace what it doesn’t understand. Your idea must build on, fix, or redefine what people are already talking about. If it does, you have idea/conversation fit. If it doesn’t, you’re pushing a boulder uphill alone.
The tech industry graveyard is full of ideas that arrived in the wrong conversation. (Sorry Hadoop!) On the other hand, great timing can supercharge a great idea. We see you OpenClaw.
You may have an amazing insight. You may be incredibly fortunate with timing. Fantastic!
Adoption, though, requires you to play the long game. You will be communicating to every audience over and over again until they all see the world the way you do and act accordingly.
You will need allies who can echo and build on your great idea. You must keep demonstrating proof that willing users will share. You’ll partner with a great communications and marketing team working every channel all the time to make your idea our collective reality. No one moves a mountain range on their own.
Take the risk out of being in the spotlight! I can prepare you, your teams and your leaders to tell your company’s story with confidence, shape the industry and maybe even change the world.
